WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party Official Opposition is again proposing solutions to fix the territory’s health crisis. To Yukoners' detriment, the Liberals have repeatedly failed to listen, or been slow to take action.
WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party Official Opposition is calling on the Yukon government to capitalize on the current climate and recruit American doctors, nurses, and health professionals to the Yukon. This should include launching a marketing campaign to promote the opportunity for US-trained doctors, nurses, and other health professionals to come North and make the Yukon their home.

Mr. Dixon: Mr. Speaker, it’s an honour to rise in response to this ministerial statement on the state of relations between our country and the United States.
WHITEHORSE – The Liberal government tabled an election-year budget that hopes to make up for years of neglect regarding the health care system and abandons any sense of fiscal responsibility. The reckless budget shows that territorial government spending is far beyond its means.
WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party will have Adam Gerle on the ballot in Porter Creek South in the 2025 territorial election. Gerle was acclaimed as the nomination period closed on March 4 at 5:00 pm Yukon time.
WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party Official Opposition is alarmed by recent announcements from doctors who are closing practices and giving up on working in the Yukon due to the crisis in the territory’s health care system. This has left a growing crisis in our hospitals, which is being made worse by the territorial Liberal government’s continued lack of action.
WHITEHORSE – Two more Yukon Party MLAs will be on the ballot during the 2025 territorial election. After a 14-day nomination period in their respective ridings, Scott Kent will represent the party in Copperbelt South and Yvonne Clarke will represent Porter Creek Centre. Both candidates were acclaimed as the nomination period closed on February 20 at 5:00 pm Yukon time.
WHITEHORSE – A Leger poll commissioned by the Yukon Party in January found that an overwhelming majority of Yukoners want a territorial election immediately. The poll found that 71% of voters now think it is time for a Yukon general election.
