There will be an election before the Assembly convenes again, so Yukon Party MLAs challenged the Liberal government’s approach on key issues facing the Yukon, including the current direction of our strained health care system, the outrageous and ignored crime wave facing our communities, and the Liberal decisions that have stalled and increased costs on housing and lot development.

WHITEHORSE – Senior officials from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) – the court-appointed receiver in charge of the Eagle Gold Mine – have been summoned to appear as witnesses in the Yukon Legislative Assembly before the 2025 Spring Sitting concludes. The Yukon Party Official Opposition brought forward a motion to the Legislative Assembly to have PwC appear, and that motion passed unanimously.

WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party Official Opposition sought answers in the Yukon Legislative Assembly on Monday from Premier Pillai about his decision to direct the Yukon Housing Corporation to buy out 407 Alexander Street, the longtime home of Duffy’s Pets. The lot is located next door to the Whitehorse Emergency Shelter, and the business owners have publicly shared that they have been negatively impacted by the shelter’s operations for the past several years.
