Laura Lang -
Laura Lang has called the Yukon home for more than two decades, raising a family and serving Yukoners as a trusted leader, helping to strengthen health, housing, and community services. She currently holds a senior role at Yukon Housing Corporation, building off prior roles at the Department of Health and Social Services.
Throughout her career, she has developed a clear understanding of the economic, health, and social issues facing the Yukon, as well as the challenges in providing support to those who need it. She has consistently prioritized honesty, responsibility, and the prudent use of public funds. Known for her open approach, Laura has built strong relationships with communities, First Nations governments, and federal partners to improve the lives of all Yukoners.
A dedicated volunteer, Laura has given countless hours to Yukon schools and community programs. She served on the École Whitehorse Elementary School Council for 15 years, helping expand French Immersion and working with others to improve Yukon’s education system and school facilities for all students and families. She has also volunteered with local organizations such as hockey, gymnastics, dance, soccer, Share the Spirit, and the Whitehorse United Church.
Lang is a proud wife and mother of five. She loves spending time outdoors in the Yukon and cooking big meals for family gatherings.

About Whitehorse West
Whitehorse West includes the subdivisions of Ingram, Arkell, and Logan; the north part of Copper Ridge bounded by Lazulite Drive to Tigereye Crescent, cutting across to the north of Ruby Lane, and extending to the boundary of the Porter Creek South electoral district. Besides Porter Creek South, Whitehorse West is bordered by the districts of Mountainvew, and Copperbelt North. It is the smallest electoral district in Whitehorse at 2.4 km².
