WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party Official Opposition is asking the Premier to clear the air over his accusations in a CBC Yukon interview on pausing applications to the Yukon Nominee Program. On June 3, Premier Ranj Pillai accused the media and a Whitehorse business owner of ‘spreading misinformation’ about the program.
WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party Official Opposition is asking Premier Ranj Pillai for an update regarding the review of Connective’s operations at the Whitehorse Emergency Shelter and across the Yukon, as directed by a motion passed in the Yukon Legislative Assembly on May 1, 2024.
WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party Official Opposition is asking the Minister of Community Services to update Yukoners and Whitehorse residents on any Yukon government involvement in the Robert Service Way project. The plan proposes a safe, permanent solution for motorists to mitigate the risk of landslides and road closures.
WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party Official Opposition has heard safety and economic concerns from Yukoners after a wildfire near Ft. Nelson, B.C. knocked out internet and cell phone service in the Yukon, and many parts of the North on the weekend. Friday night’s outage left many without service for almost 24 hours.
“I am happy to see the Yukon government take action following my motion highlighting the need to address the third-party analysis and report assessing the Comprehensive Municipal Grant (CMG) commissioned by the Association of Yukon Communities (AYC) in July 2023.
WHITEHORSE – On Star Wars Day, Saturday, May 4, over 150 Yukon Party members from across the territory gathered in Whitehorse for the party’s 2024 Annual General Meeting. It was a chance for members to catch up on what happened over the past year and conduct annual party business.

WHITEHORSE – On Wednesday the Yukon Legislative Assembly unanimously passed a Yukon Party Official Opposition motion regarding the Comprehensive Municipal Grant.
“I am happy to hear the announcement from the federal government that the Little Gold-Poker Creek border crossing between Canada and the U.S. on the Top of the World Highway west of Dawson City will be returning to pre-pandemic opening and closing dates.
