WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party used Question Period on Monday to raise concerns brought forward by four groups who have an extensive stake in Inclusive and Special Education in the territory. The groups say more collaboration and accountability is needed.
WHITEHORSE – On March 31, MLAs in the Yukon Legislative Assembly unanimously passed third reading of Bill No. 11, Act to Amend the Child and Family Services Act (2022).
WHITEHORSE – In the face of record levels of inflation and skyrocketing costs of living, the Liberal carbon tax is set to increase by 25 percent on April 1.

WHITEHORSE – A Yukon Party Official Opposition bill providing more democratic oversight of the Civil Emergency Measures Act (CEMA) was blocked at second reading in the Yukon Legislative Assembly by the Liberal government with the support of their NDP coalition partners.
WHITEHORSE – As Yukoners struggle under the weight of skyrocketing fuel prices, the Yukon Party Official Opposition is urging the Liberal government to follow the lead of other jurisdictions and provide temporary relief from the territorial fuel tax.
“I cannot help but think of the many Yukoners and Canadians with family or connections to the nation of Ukraine. It is truly disturbing that an otherwise peaceful, stable democracy is being invaded in an attempt at an illegal and immoral annexation. I share the concern for Ukraine and anger that Ukrainians’ rights, their right to choose their own future and their right to live free from war is being stripped away by Putin’s illegal invasion.
