WHITEHORSE – As Yukoners and homebuilders look for new residential lots to build on, it seems inevitable that once again, the Liberals will miss their own timeline for the release of lots in Whistle Bend.
WHITEHORSE – Another business organization is raising concerns with the failure of the Yukon Liberal government’s economic management.
WHITEHORSE – In April 2021, the Liberal government put an abrupt end to midwifery services by banning unlicensed midwives from offering care in the Yukon. The announcement, made just ahead of a snap election call by the Premier, came even though the government was not ready to offer midwifery services themselves.
WHITEHORSE - The Yukon Party is raising concerns about the appointment of a former Liberal Party candidate as the Chief Medical Officer of Health. This follows the recent decision of the Yukon’s former Chief Medical Officer of Health revealing his own partisanship and becoming a Liberal MP in the 2021 election. In making this appointment the Yukon Liberals have continued their trend of politicizing the supposedly independent office while undermining public confidence in the office.

While the price of fuel has been steadily increasing over the past several months, the recent jump above 2.00 dollars a litre for regular gasoline was crushing for many Yukoners. The surging price of gas and diesel is having a real impact on the life of just about every single Yukoner. Fuel prices have obvious direct impacts on Yukoners’ everyday cost of living, as the vast majority rely on vehicles for transportation; but there are also indirect impacts that are concerning.
