Yukon Party will offer Change as Territorial General Election Nears

WHITEHORSE – The Yukon Party is ready for the territorial general election, which must be called by Friday, October 3.

“The Yukon Party is ready to deliver the change in government Yukoners have expressed they want and need to restore their lives and their livelihoods to a place where they can afford to live here, invest here and succeed here,” said Yukon Party Leader Currie Dixon.

Under the territory’s fixed election date legislation, an election must be held on or before November 3.

“We are fortunate to have a talented group of Yukon Party candidates, with their diversity and wide range of perspectives and life experiences they bring to the table,” continued Dixon, who is also the candidate for Copperbelt North. “The Yukon Party team truly reflects Yukoners throughout all regions of our incredible territory, and together, we will work tirelessly to listen and respond to the needs and priorities of residents and businesses from Beaver Creek to Wolf Creek, Watson Lake to Watson River and everyone and everywhere throughout the Yukon.”

Since officially launching their campaign in late April, Yukon Party candidates have been connecting with Yukoners throughout the spring, summer and fall, speaking to residents and business owners. From housing, health care and education to the economy, public safety, energy and more effective governance, the Yukon Party is poised to deliver positive change for the territory.

Yukoners can vote at any time before Election Day at their local Elections Yukon Returning Office (RO) by Special Ballot. Information about where and how to vote can be found at electionsyukon.ca
