“The Yukon Party, including MLAs, staff, party executive, and volunteers, strongly condemn the heinous acts of politically motivated threats against the leader of the NDP, Kate White.
“This action against Kate is unacceptable and despicable.
“Bullying, harassment, threats, or vandalism have no place in our society or political discourse.
“I hope the perpetrator or perpetrators of this disgusting and indefensible behaviour are caught and brought to justice.
“As we are into an election year, I call on all Yukoners to respect everyone participating in public life and the most fundamental exercise of our free democracy. Any disagreements should be expressed in the appropriate way – by casting a ballot.
“I am saddened that this happened to Kate, and this should never happen again to any elected representative in any order of government.”
