Premier-Designate Currie Dixon Names Chief of Staff

WHITEHORSE – Premier-designate Currie Dixon has announced that Danny Macdonald will be appointed his chief of staff in Cabinet following the Yukon Party forming government on November 22.

A lifelong Yukoner, Macdonald has been the chief of staff for the Yukon Party Official Opposition since January 2022 and brings Cabinet and governance experience from previous Yukon Party governments. He worked in the Cabinet office under premiers Dennis Fentie and Darrell Pasloski.

“I would like to thank Danny for his work over the past four years in his role as chief of staff with the Official Opposition, and as campaign manager during the recent election campaign,” said Dixon. “He brings a wealth of experience to the position and has done a superb job managing the campaign team. There is plenty of work ahead as we deliver the change that Yukoners have asked for, and Danny will be an integral part of leading the team going forward.”
