Natalie Taylor Seeks Yukon Party Nomination in Whitehorse West

WHITEHORSE – Lifelong Yukoner Natalie Taylor has announced she is seeking the Yukon Party nomination for the riding of Whitehorse West in the 2025 territorial election, which must be called on or before October 3.

Taylor, a well-known leader in the non-governmental organization sector, currently serves as Executive Director of the Whitehorse Aboriginal Women’s Circle and has previously held roles with the Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition and the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Society Yukon. She is actively engaged with many community organizations, including the NGO Hub Society, Girl Guides of Canada, Scouts Canada, the Yukon Comic Culture Society, and the Klondike Road Relay.

Taylor’s roots in the Yukon trace back to the 1940s, when her family arrived in the territory.

“Through my work in the community, I have met so many Yukoners who care deeply about their families, their neighbours and the future of our Territory. Yukoners are concerned about the health of our communities and are worried about the day-to-day cost of living,” said Taylor. “Overall, there is a strong desire for leadership that listens, understands and works alongside the community to build solutions. As part of Currie Dixon’s Yukon Party team, I believe we can create a healthier, more connected Yukon. I’m excited to bring my advocacy experience, strong community relationships and practical knowledge to help move us forward together.”

As per the Yukon Party constitution, riding nomination processes and timing, including for Whitehorse West, will be announced electronically to party members. Taylor is the second Yukoner to declare their intention to seek the Yukon Party nomination in Whitehorse West.

To date, Yukon Party candidates have been confirmed in Copperbelt North, Copperbelt South, Kluane, Lake Laberge, Porter Creek Centre, Porter Creek North, Porter Creek South, Takhini, Whistle Bend North, Whistle Bend South, and Riverdale South, with nominations currently open in Mayo-Tatchun.
