WHITEHORSE – Logan Freese will be on the ballot for the Yukon Party in the Takhini riding during the 2025 territorial election, which must be held on or before November 3.
The lifelong Yukoner, born in Haines Junction, has lived in the riding for over a decade. He has extensive executive experience with Yukon First Nation Development Corporations and is involved in the community through Softball Yukon and the Canadian Rangers. He is also a former member of the Takhini Elementary School Council.
“I am happy to secure the Yukon Party nomination for Takhini,” said Freese. “The relocation of École Whitehorse Elementary School to Takhini is top-of-mind for many residents in the riding, and I would be pleased to work on a solution that benefits the community as part of a Yukon Party government led by Currie Dixon. I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for Takhini residents and all Yukoners.”
As per the Yukon Party constitution, riding nomination processes and timing will be announced electronically to party members. Currently, nominations are open in the riding of Mayo-Tatchun.
To date, Yukon Party candidates have been confirmed in Copperbelt North, Copperbelt South, Kluane, Lake Laberge, Porter Creek North, Porter Creek South, Porter Creek Centre, Whistle Bend North, Whistle Bend South and Riverdale South.
