Linda Benoit Will Represent the Yukon Party in Whistle Bend South

WHITEHORSE – Private sector advocate, committed volunteer, and local businessperson Linda Benoit will be the Yukon Party candidate in the new riding of Whistle Bend South in the 2025 territorial election. Nominations for the riding closed at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24. Benoit was acclaimed.

“I am excited to be the Yukon Party candidate for Whistle Bend South,” said Benoit. “Now, I can get out to the doorsteps and hear from residents about their priorities for the riding and the Yukon. I look forward to the campaign, and to helping Currie Dixon and the Yukon Party form the next territorial government.”

Benoit, a lifelong Yukoner raised in Faro, brings a wealth of experience in both the private and political sectors. She has extensive behind-the-scenes political experience, having worked in the cabinet offices of both former Yukon Party Premiers Dennis Fentie and Darrell Pasloski, as well as in executive roles within the party itself.

The next territorial election must be held on or before November 3, 2025.
