Keith Jacobsen Acclaimed as Yukon Party Candidate in Whitehorse Centre

WHITEHORSE – Keith Jacobsen will be on the ballot for the Yukon Party in Whitehorse Centre in the 2025 territorial election, which must be called by October 3. Jacobsen was acclaimed after the 5 p.m. nomination period deadline passed on September 2.

Jacobsen, a born and raised Yukoner, is an engineering consultant and entrepreneur. His engineering expertise has been utilized on some of Canada's most advanced marine defence and naval projects, and he has run businesses in downtown Whitehorse.

“Growing up in Whitehorse and both living and working in our downtown core for many years, I know the area is currently going through challenges which are impacting businesses, customers and for many, downtown’s sense of vibrancy and feeling of safety,” said Jacobsen. “I am eager to join Currie Dixon’s Yukon Party team to bring real change and address those challenges. I look forward to meeting with downtown residents and business owners to learn about how these issues are affecting them, and what can be done to rejuvenate our downtown.”
