- Continue to offer rent-geared-to-income units and explore avenues to increase the availability of supportive services.
- Implement the Recommendations of the Auditor General of Canada’s 2022 Report, including access to the Yukon Housing Corporation’s policies related to rent assessments for seniors’ housing.
Previously announced as part of the Yukon Party’s commitment to seniors and health care include:
- Plan and build a Continuing Care Facility in Watson Lake.
- Develop a plan for the next phase of Whistle Bend Continuing Care Facility and explore options for another continuing care facility.
- Increase the number of continuing care beds.
- Expand home care services to help seniors live in their homes longer.
