Cory Bellmore Acclaimed as Yukon Party Candidate in Mayo-Tatchun

WHITEHORSE – Cory Bellmore will be on the ballot for the Yukon Party in the riding of Mayo-Tatchun during the 2025 territorial election, which must be called on or before October 3. Bellmore was acclaimed after the nomination deadline passed at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 31.

A lifelong Yukoner and married mother of three, Bellmore is a member of the Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation and has spent the majority of her life in Carmacks. She is a long-time municipal and First Nations government administrator and is currently the Director of Finance and Administration with the Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation, as well as a two-term Carmacks village councillor. Bellmore is also involved in the Carmacks business community and has served on the Tantalus School Council.

“I am proud to join Currie Dixon’s team as the Yukon Party works to listen to Yukoners and form the next territorial government,” said Bellmore. “I feel the concerns of rural Yukon have been ignored by the Liberal government over the past eight years, and if elected, I will work to ensure the voice of Mayo-Tatchun is heard. Over the coming weeks and months, I look forward to getting out and meeting residents of the riding to hear what their priorities are before Yukoners cast their vote in the fall election.”

As per the Yukon Party constitution, riding nomination processes and timing will be announced electronically to party members.

To date, Yukon Party candidates have been confirmed in Copperbelt North, Copperbelt South, Kluane, Lake Laberge, Mayo-Tatchun with Bellmore, Porter Creek Centre, Porter Creek North, Porter Creek South, Takhini, Whistle Bend North, Whistle Bend South and Riverdale South, with nominations currently open in Whitehorse West.
