Adam Gerle Seeks Yukon Party Nomination in Porter Creek South

WHITEHORSE – A longtime resident of Porter Creek South, Adam Gerle, is seeking the Yukon Party nomination for the riding in the 2025 territorial election. The election must be held on or before November 3.

Gerle, who has lived in the Yukon for over 30 years, is an award-winning marketing and brand strategist and well-known Yukon ambassador. In addition to his work in tourism marketing, his professional experience includes hotel general manager, restaurateur, business development, and serving the world-famous Sour Toe Cocktail across North America.

“Porter Creek South has been my home for over 20 years, and I’m often on every street and trail in the riding, every day, walking my dogs and connecting with residents,” said Gerle. “I’ve long considered public service a meaningful way to contribute back to the community, and I feel the timing now is right. I want to listen to the residents, learn about their priorities and what affects them, and bring their issues to the floor of the Legislative Assembly.”

In addition to volunteering with the Yukon Convention Bureau, Tourism Industry Association of the Yukon, and Dawson City Chamber of Commerce Boards, Gerle actively participates in community events and fundraisers. He currently volunteers for the ‘Every Student, Every Day’ charity, which promotes improved school attendance and engagement in Yukon classrooms.

“Like many Yukoners, I’ve always believed our territory is the best place in Canada to live, work, play, and invest,” added Gerle. “I’m committed to a change in direction and strong leadership to tackle the challenges facing us from affordability to keeping our kids in school. Currie Dixon and the Yukon Party team have new ideas to provide the vision and leadership the Yukon needs to ensure all Yukoners are living the dream as was my experience moving here.”

As per the Yukon Party constitution, riding nomination processes and timing, including that for Porter Creek South, will be announced electronically through local media and to party members. Once a nomination opens, it will not close before 14 days of the notice. To learn more about the Yukon Party and how to support its efforts for change, please visit yukonparty.ca.
