Three Candidates Vie for Leadership of the Yukon Party
We are thrilled to announce that three candidates for the leadership of the Yukon
Party have been accepted by the Party’s Leadership Committee. Early announcements from Currie Dixon, former MLA for Copperbelt North, and Brad Cathers, current MLA for Lake Laberge, were followed by an announcement from Linda Benoit, former President of the Yukon Party, and long-time Party supporter. The candidates will be selected through an election by the members and decided on May 23, 2020.
Over the coming weeks, we will be given the opportunity to get to know these candidates better, and to hear their ideas about the future of the Yukon and the Yukon Party. One of these opportunities will be at an All-Candidates Forum, which is taking place on Saturday, March 21st at the Coast High Country Inn in Whitehorse, details around timing to follow. This Forum will welcome all three candidates, and will provide the opportunity to hear from each of the candidates, followed by some networking time.
The Yukon Party encourages all members to ensure that their memberships are up-to-date, and to speak to their friends, family members (14 years +), and coworkers about purchasing a membership.
