Riverdale North

Rose Sellars -

A longtime Riverdale resident, Rose Sellars is a born-and-raised Yukoner and a proud member of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation (CTFN).

She is currently the Indigenous Partnerships Manager with the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board (YESAB), and was most recently a candidate for Council of Yukon First Nations Grand Chief.

Her political experience includes 12 years on General Council with her First Nation. Over the course of her career, Sellars has worked with First Nations, as well as federal, territorial, and municipal governments, primarily in managerial roles. She has also spent time in the private sector, including more than 20 years as the owner of a real estate company, and has served as executive director for two non-governmental organizations.

The married mother of one daughter has also contributed her time to numerous community boards and committees. Reflecting her passion for the outdoors and animals, Sellars currently serves as a board member with the Yukon Fish and Game Association. She grew up hunting, fishing, trapping, and farming, and still enjoys spending time on the land whenever she can.
